Prof. Mohammad Aslam
Course Description and Contents:
Starts with the basic properties of metals and goes on to develop various models to describe these properties at the molecular level. Really good course for an engineer as it gives you a good insight into why metals behave the way they do.
Attendance, Course Load and Grading:
Not compulsory attendance.
Assignments are given for the topics which have been covered in QM to save time in lectures (if the class agrees). Only one quiz, midsem and endsem, all of which are pretty straightforward.
3 hour classes per week plus occasional assignment solving time.
Lectures are really good. May feel a bit slow at times but provide a really good understanding of the practical uses of the concepts taught.
